My name is Véronique Pharand. I am the face behind Plume Legal Services.
If you are reading this, you probably want to get to know me before we enter into professional relationship (or just because you are curious). I understand! I also like to know who I am dealing with before retaining the services of an individual.
Graduated with a law degree (University of Ottawa) in 2018 and accredited mediator (University of Sherbrooke) since 2020, I quickly understood that the traditional practice of law does not quite suit me. The idea of creating a legal firm in my image – authentic, simple, and accessible – naturally came to me as soon as I officially became a lawyer.
Plume Legal Services is born out of my desire to serve the community by offering accessible legal services. I use the law as a vehicle to reach my true passion: the people and the mechanisms that govern intra and interpersonal relationships. My favourite fields of practice are those where the management of emotions comes into play.
Besides my practice as a lawyer (I am not strictly a lawyer!), I am a horse rider and a yoga instructor. My way of practising law is certainly coloured by the universal learning of horses and yoga, such as self-observation, understanding of our own limits and seeking of balance.
